Where does the event begin, and where does the art end?

Where does the event begin, and where does the art end?

A few days ago, I watched excerpts of what – I cannot even call a fashion show – but rather a profound, almost cinematic event.
I watched it in one breath, with wide-open eyes and an excitement only I could explain.

Religion. Art. History. Fashion. Elegance. A legendary historic site. Architecture.
All in one place.
A story unfolded. A story of high elegance, speaking in thousands of languages.

And suddenly – I found myself on a familiar path.
The path of my own thoughts and feelings.
I thought: My God, how wonderful it is when we know how to trace back the foundations of culture.

When we know how to gently honor the ground upon which thousands and thousands of people have walked –
ground that has absorbed both tragedies and loves, friendships and farewells, historic moments and the beginnings of something new.
When we can feel the energy of past events in a different way –
a way that carries us somewhere else.
To a place where we can retell it – but now in a new way.

When we bring history to life and transform it into living moments – we create art.
Art that speaks for itself.
Art that tells the story of a brand – its values, beliefs, desires, and visions.

And where is the event in all this?
Well, that is the event.

A film set, a script, the revival of what we believe in – all of it results in an event.

That is what we write about, what we speak of.
It is the result of all our thoughts, emotions, inspirations –
born through music, images, personal stories, our lives and yours.

That is how an event is born.
Not when we ask, “Should we tie this to that?”
but when we let go of all templates and protocol lists.

I believe everything is possible – I have seen it proven countless times.
Life always throws us in different directions, mostly unplanned, but always – exactly as it should.

In my creation, in that faith –
I wish for thousands upon thousands of such events.
Stories told. Moments brought to life. Meaning. Enormous risk.

I want Matè to shine where it feels it most belongs.
And who knows – maybe one day we won’t even need to buy a place…
Because it will already be waiting for us.

Behind the scenes.
Or in the front row.
